The STARFLEET Region One Awards Program was created to honor exceptional service and achievements within the organization. This comprehensive program is designed to recognize individual accomplishments, academic success, outstanding Non-Affiliated members, and the collective achievements of Chapters or teams. An Annual Regional Awards Competition is also held to celebrate the “Best of the Best” in Region One.
Eligible awards include, but are not limited to, Commendations, Good Conduct Awards, the Distinguished Service Award, Legion of Honor, Silver Star, Purple Heart, and “E” Ribbons. Additional honors are available as well. Awards are typically issued by the Region One Awards Director, based on recommendations submitted by qualified STARFLEET members.
While any STARFLEET member may nominate someone for an award, Chapter-level nominations should be submitted through the Chapter’s Commanding Officer (CO) or Executive Officer (XO). Regional Staff Officers — such as the Regional Coordinator (RC), Vice Regional Coordinators (VRCs), and Regional Department Chiefs (RDCs) — may also submit recommendations for any member within the Region.
The Awards Program offers unique award ribbons that recipients can purchase and use to showcase their accomplishments. Each recipient also receives an award certificate at no cost. If a mailed copy is requested, a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) is required.
