    Shelby County Star Trek Day, though not officially a part of the chapter (Station Shelby emerged from the event), holds at one-day Trek con each year on the weekend nearest to April 9, featuring vendors, guest speakers, skits, guest musicians, themed food and drinks, and costume contests before ending with a Trek-themed episode.
