Region One officially began in April 1975 when Outpost Canopus 3 was established in Ohio. However, its roots trace back to STARFLEET’s inception. STARFLEET originated in 1974 from a local club in Texas known as the USS Enterprise. This initial club rapidly expanded and evolved into STARFLEET: The International Star Trek Fan Association. Outpost Canopus 3 emerged as the first separate chapter to form within this growing organization. Region One quickly grew with the addition of more chapters including Makus 3, Andelli, and Constellation.
