\nThe crew of the USS Tanasi cordially invites all chapters and their members to join us for a joint away mission to the 34th Annual Cherokee Fall Festival<\/span><\/em><\/strong> at the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum, located in Vonore, Tennessee\u2014home to the only tribally owned museum in the state.<\/p>\n

Saturday, September 6, 2025<\/em>
\n10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Earth Central Time Zone)<\/em><\/p>\n

This cultural engagement offers a unique opportunity to explore and honor the rich traditions of the Cherokee Nation, a people whose resilience and spirit echo the ideals of the United Federation of Planets.<\/p>\n

Mission Highlights Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Live demonstrations of Cherokee arts and crafts<\/em>
\nOperation of a historic 1800s Acorn Printing Press<\/em>
\nTraditional music, storytelling, and dance<\/em>
\nBlacksmithing and frontier life exhibits<\/em>
\nInteractive displays of Cherokee life in the 1700s<\/em>
\nCivil War reenactment honoring Earth’s complex past<\/em>
\nMeet Miss Cherokee and have your name transcribed in the Cherokee syllabary<\/em>
\nStudent displays from Cherokee Elementary<\/em>
\nChildren\u2019s and adult blowgun competitions<\/em>
\nPerformances by the Warrior Dancers of Ani-Kituhwa, official ambassadors of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians<\/em><\/p>\n

Mess Hall Offerings:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Traditional Indian Fry Bread, Indian Tacos, and other refreshments will be available for purchase (replicators offline for this mission).<\/em><\/p>\n

Landing Fees (Admission\/Pay at the Gate):<\/strong><\/p>\n

Adults: $10<\/em>
\nCadets (13\u201318): $5<\/em>
\nChildren (12 & under): Free<\/em>
\nFamily Group (2 adults + 2 cadets): $25<\/em><\/p>\n
