DESCRIPTION:Fellow family and friends of Region One\,\nThe crew of the USS Tanasi cordially invites all chapters and their members to join us for a joint away mission to the 34th Annual Cherokee Fall Festival at the Sequoyah Birthplace Museum\, located in Vonore\, Tennessee—home to the only tribally owned museum in the state. \nMission Date & Time: \nSaturday\, September 6\, 2025\n10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Earth Central Time Zone) \nThis cultural engagement offers a unique opportunity to explore and honor the rich traditions of the Cherokee Nation\, a people whose resilience and spirit echo the ideals of the United Federation of Planets. \nMission Highlights Include: \nLive demonstrations of Cherokee arts and crafts\nOperation of a historic 1800s Acorn Printing Press\nTraditional music\, storytelling\, and dance\nBlacksmithing and frontier life exhibits\nInteractive displays of Cherokee life in the 1700s\nCivil War reenactment honoring Earth’s complex past\nMeet Miss Cherokee and have your name transcribed in the Cherokee syllabary\nStudent displays from Cherokee Elementary\nChildren’s and adult blowgun competitions\nPerformances by the Warrior Dancers of Ani-Kituhwa\, official ambassadors of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians \nMess Hall Offerings: \nTraditional Indian Fry Bread\, Indian Tacos\, and other refreshments will be available for purchase (replicators offline for this mission). \nLanding Fees (Admission/Pay at the Gate): \nAdults: $10\nCadets (13–18): $5\nChildren (12 & under): Free\nFamily Group (2 adults + 2 cadets): $25 \nTrek attire is welcome!\nLet’s represent STARFLEET and Region One proudly while engaging in meaningful cultural exchange.
